This is spring?

Wow, if I see one more snowstorm I think I am going to snap. This has been the hardest winter I've been through in a long time and I am sick of it. Of course I go and look at today's newspaper and they state that we may be seeing cold weather and snow right up till May. Yippee ki yay motherf*****.

I've noticed I've been pretty cranky the last few months, and it probably comes from the extended cabin fever feeling that this wonderful winter has produced. I guess I should have invested in a sun lamp.

Other then that, things have been pretty good, my divorce is now final (woohoo) I am so glad to have that out of my hair. Now if I can get caught up on bills and be able to put some money aside, I would be a happy camper.

I'm still at the same job, the pay sucks but I have a decent boss and I am learning lots. Which looks well on the resume :)

LOL

I was just checking my profile, and saw my year of birth was 1756, which made me 251 years old! LOL.
Not sure why the wrong year was there but I fixed it. I'm sitting here listening to my husband work on my new machine :P.. it came with Vista unfortunately, and we are trying to downgrade it to XP.

Shame on Microsoft for forcing people to use their new system. It looks nice but has issues, they did not do enough testing with this OS before shipping it off to the public.

So, I went out and forked over $170 for a copy of Windows XP OEM and have my fingers crossed that we can downgrade to it. The rest of the system is pretty sweet, after my Dell, its like getting a speedboat after using a rowboat for ages :)

...

Oops, haven't written in this for awhile. I have a few blogs on the go but tend to forget about them for awhile :)
I'm still working as an office manager and I like it but I wish the pay was higher, its so hard for a person to get on their feet from the ground up, but they say it gets better down the road. I keep my fingers crossed, I kept my chin up this far, I can keep it up there :)

Not much new to report, working, paying bills and still playing Warcraft, I haven't been into a game like this since Enemy Territory. That was a fun game till people ruined it by using cheats and bots and all that crap. My hubby and I have been playing it for almost 2 years, he had started playing it before I met him but he has stopped for awhile. It costs $30 for 2 months of play and that is our entertainment, we don't go out much (don't really have the moolah) and we don't watch tv, though occasionally we watch movies. The last new one I saw was Blades of Glory, kind of funny, but I feel asleep at the end of it so I missed it. I love Will Ferrel, Anchorman is still my fave movie with him.

That's about it, it has been a year and a half since Dad passed away, I am dealing with it much better then I was, and mom is doing well, in fact she has been asked out on a few dates :) I find its cute, she is 70 yo and looks great, but I think she misses male companionship, I told her I am ok with it, if it makes her happy then I am happy for her. There is one man in particular that I have met before and he seems like a nice man. His spouse passed away last year and him and mom talk all the time. I think it's great.

Out for now.. later!

Sad..

Well, I figured I would say something about the shootings in Virginia, what a horrible tragedy, I really don't what else to say except my heart goes out to the parents of the victims. I hope the wounded pull through and can get ahead with their lives.

I was having a melancoly day yesterday, it would have been my dad's 71st birthday. I miss him so much but it has been getting a little easier to deal with. They say the first year is the hardest but I imagine there will be lots of sad moments in the years to come. I talk with mom all the time, and I called her yesterday to see how she was managing, she was a bit sad herself but it's understandable.

Anyhoo, not much else to write, I saw Borat over the weekend, it was pretty funny up until the naked wrestling scene and then we got pretty grossed out and fast forwarded it :)

Happy Camper

Woot! I am a happy person today. I am starting a new job on Monday that has a lot of potential and as well I gave my notice at the call center today :D No more fricken call centers for me. I have noticed since I have been off of work that I feel a lot better. I can handle pressure and stress but not what goes on in call centers. They have high turn over rates for a reason, they are not healthy. I have spoken to numerous people who have gone on stress leave or had to change to keep their sanity. I have yet to hear of one good center to work in.
Anyhoo, my two cents of the day :)
